Campbell Stew : What's new in the Stew?

Sydney is such a Southern Belle!  Last night she told Alicia a story and used the phrase "Y'all" no less than twice.  And the accent...It makes me smile.

I wonder what people would think if I started teaching her Pittsburgh-eese and let her use the phrases with a southern accent on it?  I am betting I can confuse all kinds of people with that.

The little things in life make you step back and wonder what is really important.

Sunday evening, the Campbell Family Christmas Tree was being setup and I was all worried about getting the timer setup correctly so the tree would automatically come on every morning and every evening.  I spent 30 minutes resetting the timer only to have Sawyer keep pushing the buttons and negating my work.  When I finally got him to stop, Sydney asked if she could turn the Tree on herself.

At this point I realized that I was worried about the wrong thing.  Rather than worrying about the perfect lights, I should have just spent the time showing the kids how to turn the tree on and off and then sat back with Alicia and ejoyed watching their little faces light up.

Needless to say, the timer is coming off the tree tonight!

We just got back from visiting Alicia's family in PA.  The visit was very nice and boy are our kids good travelers.  Traffic on the way home was horrific and after 11 grueling hours in the car, both Sydney and Sawyer were super happy.  Alicia and I both had our stress relieved when we got out of the van, annoyed at the long trip, and both kids started laughing and playing with each other immediatley!

The visit in PA was wonderful as well.  Allthough we are not sure if we will be allowed back into town again!  For the 2nd year in a row, we started the trip completely healthy but by day 2 we had unintentionally spread the "Vomitous Eruptous" plague throughout the Anderson family.  Don't worry Crawfords, we didn't leave you out... You got it by day 5.  Sorry!
